Two or three decades back, we didn’t own any luxury that we enjoy today. Cellphones, hybrid cars, online shopping and even internet was far away from common people’s knowledge and reach. Initially the world will oppose all new theories and proposals, but finally embrace the same. It is a human instinct to oppose the change. But there are some people who stood tall for the change and became the change themselves and revolutionized the world forever.
In 1994, when Jeff Bezoz started Amazon online store, people were constantly asking whether people would purchase something before seeing or touching it live and if the whole system was trustable. Some just said that the whole thing is not going to work at all. But after all these years, today he is the richest man on planet and people are so much addicted to online shopping thesedays.
Elon Musk is going to be the next big change with Tesla cars and his space projects. He has gone through a lot of criticism even from his close ones. But it does not stop him. We want people like him who could forsee the future and who are always ready to evolve and accept the change.
I would like to recall the lines from the poem “The Road Not Taken” by the great Robert Frost.
“I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”
The new era is all about thinking smart and making the impossible possible. So we must not hold back anyone who may bring up the change.Be positive, listen, analyse, accept and be that change.
There is a malayalam poem “വഴിവെട്ടുന്നവരോട് ” by N. N. Kakkad which deals with hypocrisy of our society about those who choose new paths and it also deals with the plight of those people who chose that path.
“ഇരു വഴിയിൽ പെരുവഴി നല്ലൂ
പെരുവഴി പോ ചെങ്ങാതി
പെരുവഴി കണ്മുന്നിലിരിക്കെ
പുതുവഴി നീ വെട്ടുന്നാകിൽ
പലതുണ്ടെ ദുരിതങ്ങൾ “
I believe that our protest should be against social evils and not against those who initiate the progressive change.99 out of 100times, changes better our lifes.I would like to wind up by the famous lines from great malayalam poet Kumaranaashaan.
“മാറ്റുവിൻ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ സ്വയ,
മല്ലെങ്കിൽ മാറ്റുമതുകളീ നിങ്ങളെത്താൻ”
which translates as
“Change the rules by yourself
Otherwise you will end up seeing it changing you “

So true! We need unity as the people, as the majority we must have the final say. We must stand up to injustice, falsehoods, myth and plain old stigmatization. It’s time for the right change, not just change, but for the better of our civilization. IF we survive. Great read and so much to address in so few lines, thank you for sharing🙏🙂🌻
